Man as an individual, his relationships, his role in social networks, his relationship to nature and his fragility are themes that drive Loredana Nemes.
The questioning of the individual leads to subconscious answers that tell her something about society as well as about herself. The aim of her work is to find images for feelings such as greed, fear, love or the beguiling disorder of life that carry this energy and reflect the medium of photography. Loredana Nemes repeatedly supplements the medium of photography with texts that she writes herself and which complement what is shown visually on a poetic level. Her works are represented in numerous international collections, including the Berlinische Galerie Berlin, Folkwang Museum Essen, Kunststiftung DZ Bank Frankfurt a. M., Kunsthaus Kollitsch Klagenfurt and Fondazione Sylva Milano. She is represented by Galerie Springer Berlin. |
